Thanks for tipping me off about the deer post. I certainly do not wish to post such pictures and had no idea that the deer had been killed. (Although after looking at it more closely I see that is obvious). I have considerable human guilt toward deer and foxes in particular as I spent much of my youth watching my grandfather kill such animals. I understand that he did not do it for sport and...
My goodness. This weather is madness. KY weather usually isn’t like this, so I don’t envy those of you who live in areas with chronically cold weather. There is a very strange sheet of ice overtop of a nice six inches of snow outside right now. I had to dig myself into the driveway, couldn’t get into the front door (it was frozen shut) and couldn’t get into the garage...

Bad Times
I have spent most of this morning trying to figure out what I ate on Friday (or maybe what I drank on Friday) that made me so fucking sick yesterday. I thought I had food poisoning, but I feel a little better today, so we’ll see.

That is some bullshit, still, all of these years later. I loved Whiskeytown. But good article. Much more rational...
Warren Haynes-Live at Bonnaroo 2004
I have heard Warren Haynes with Gov’t Mule, but after seeing that he was touring with The Dead this summer, I decided to check out some more of his work. I can’t believe I’ve not listened to this guy before. I downloaded his 2004 Bonnaroo set…just Warren and his guitar and it is flawless. A wonderful set. And he even covers Grateful Dead’s Stella Blue (which...

New interview with DRA from Australia
This is actually a pretty good article. Ryan says he is retiring from the Cardinals and not from music. I guess if you are deaf you probably don’t need to be in a loud rock band. I guessing that in the future we’ll get more of the acoustic Ryan Adams. Which is fine with me. I think Ryan is at his best in this setting.
